The next thing to get on my wet shaving list was going to be a luxury shave soap but that wont happen now until the distant future. I do have several shave soaps and creams some of which I haven't even tried yet. What I have been using the most and it's almost gone is Col. Conk BAYRUM.

Cutting ones own hair for most women would be different than for guys.

*Thumbs up*

I had my hair cut recently. The most I would do is trim my bangs if necessary.

Last night I corked then broke an Astra green blade in half and put a half in my Classic Samurai shavette. I heard about corking but this is my first time trying it and my first time trying my Classic Samurai shavette. I just cut my hair then got a shower and a shave. The Classic Samurai shavette with a corked blade worked very well. More people will probably be cutting their own hair now. WAHL stock is probably going to go up. The lord has been preparing me for this. I stopped using toilet paper almost 4 years ago and I've been cutting my own hair for almost a year.

I only have two double edge safety razors so far one of the new Wilkerson Sword metal razors and a Parker 87R. I have a test tube rack that I use to store and display them.

Can you flick a shavette open like a switch blade?

They're like straight razor switchblades.

This is my shavette collection so far. The second shavette from the left with the light brown wooden handle is the first one that I got. It is a Sanguine shavette. It is the only one that I've used so far. I have actually used it several times. At first I wanted to go with straight razors but the initial cost was to much and they require up keep. From what I heard shavettes are more dangerous than straight razors. Everyone keeps saying that they are less forgiving. That should make them even more bad ass right? I bought the Classic Samurai in red to match my Yaqi Ferrari shave brush.

That‘s a nice collection.

I wouldn't want to use public transportation either, not even a taxi.

This is a photo of my shaving brush collection so far. The brush on the far right has been my workhorse. It is a very cheap nondescript brush. The red & white brush is a Yaqi Ferrari that I just got. I had to walk into the post office in town to get because taking the bus is to dangerous now. It will probably always remind me of this time in history.
